Not my fault! shame on you state farm"
My son was just in an accident with a client who has State Farm Insurance. The man who hit my son seemed like a nice guy and when the police came he told my son to tell his side of the accident. To my sons surprise, this man told a whole different story claiming it wasn't his fault. After hearing both sides of the story, the police officer told my son not to worry because there was no way it could have happened the way this man said. The 72 year old man made a left hand turn and ran into the drivers side of my son's car after crossing 3 lanes of traffic just past the intersection getting damage to his front corner passenger side. After getting an estimate from a garage of State Farm preference, my son called State Farm several times and they said they were waiting for the police report. Finally 6 weeks later State Farm called and said the claim was denied. They were going with what their client said, because even though my son and the police said it happened one way, there was a chance that it happened their clients way!! By the way, their client did get a ticket for careless driving and State Farm would not tell me what this mans version of the story was. State Farm said to me that they do not tell their clients to say it was not their fault. After researching on the internet, I found that step # 9 under their heading What to do after an auto accident, it states "Be polite, but don't tell the other drivers or police that the accident was your fault, even if you think it was". So how many claims do you think State Farm gets out of paying? I will never recommend State Farm to anyone!!
