BLOOMINGTON — State Farm Insurance Cos. almost slipped out of the Top 10 while Country Financial held its footing in a new ranking of customer satisfaction among homeowners’ policyholders.
State Farm, the largest home insurer in the U.S., dropped from fourth place last year to 10th out of 26 insurers in J.D. Power and Associates’ 2010 study. State Farm lost ground in all five areas: policy offerings, price, billing and payment, interaction and claims, said Jeremy Bowler, senior director of the insurance practice at J.D. Power.
It’s the third J.D. Power study this year in which State Farm’s score slipped, following its performance in the firm’s insurance shopping and auto policy surveys."
