Feb. 3--Two former State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. attorneys have settled a lawsuit that accused the company of telling them to cheat policyholders.

Finalized last week, the settlement comes five months after the Utah Supreme Court ruled Richard Spratley and Brett Pierce could use documents they took with them when they quit the insurer.

Attorney Karra Porter, who represented the pair, confirmed the settlement but said a confidentiality agreement prevents her clients and State Farm from disclosing its terms.

Spratley and Pierce worked defending State Farm policyholders against lawsuits over auto accidents …"
